| Symmetrics Cycling wins big time at Canadian
Nationals |
 |
Well, the biggest and toughest race of the season
is now over, and what a fantastic event! We arrived on Thursday
evening to set up camp, and I pre-rode the course on Friday.
At that stage the weather was still fine and sunny, but the
forecast was for rain, so we were ready with mudguards and mud
tyres.
We had a full set of Panaracer mud, trail and semi-slick tyres
for both bikes (although the semi-slicks never made it out of
the car all weekend!).
We really didn't know how close my race would be, as Titus had
brought a 24 hour solo specialist in from the States, Barbara
Kreisle, and we expected a serious challenge from her. In fact
Barbara waAs many of you know the Symmetrics Cycling team won
4 events at the Canadian National Road Cycling Championships
this past weekend in Kamloops, BC. For the first time this season
the team will be racing in downtown Vancouver at the inaugural
Yaletown Grand Prix! Modeled closely after the ultra-successful
Tour de Gastown, the Yaletown Grand Prix will offer spectators
a great opportunity to see elite road cycling in the funky part
of town.
Symmetrics Cycling is happy to report that our little cycling
team has become much bigger and better in only 4 weeks. Where
do I start...well let me just bullet point the key highlights
without elaborating on the stories in depth. You can pop over
to our website (http://www.symmetricscycling.com
) to read the detailed race reports.
