MILRAM, the German food giant and division of NORD MILCH, is the new sponsor of "TEAM MILRAM", a German-Italian cycling team in the Pro Tour from the start of the 2006 cycling season. The team is made up of members of the Italian Domina Vacanze team and the German Wiesenhof team. The first two high-pro-file names to be signed to the new team are top sprinters Erik Zabel and Alessandro Petacchi.

Erik Zabel , the legendary German rider, has won maillot vert (green jersey) jerseys with six consecutive wins in Tour de France. He and Patacchi make a dream foundation for a solid Milram team.
