Team MILRAM Star Alessandro Petacchi wins fifth time in a row and secures place 1 in the overall-rankings

Alessandro Petacchi makes a perfect debut in Lower Saxony: The 32 year-old Italian sprinter also gained place 1 in the fifth and last stage of the ODDSET-Rundfahrt. As the first rider ever the Team MILRAM sprinter won all stages of the tour throughout Northern Germany.

In the 2nd stage, Alessandro Petacchi obtained his second victory. "Ale-Jet" won the second stage from Nienburg to Bückeburg and once again got the yellow jersey. The Australian Rabobank rider Graeme Brown finished second, Peter Wrolich (Team Gerolsteiner) reached place 3.
Once again the teamwork in the MILRAM equipe worked very well: Martin Müller and Ralf Grabsch controlled the main group for the whole race. And also Marco Velo, Elia Rigotto and Volodymyr Dyudya brought out their best today: About 10 kilometres up to the finishing line, the cooperators of Petacchi caught the break of four riders and did the pioneer work for Alessandros victory.

In the 3rd stage, Alessandro Petacchi won the race for Team MILRAM. Danilo Hondo (Lamonta) finished second. Robert Foerster from Team Gerolsteiner reached the finishing-line as the third rider.
The third victory for the equipe was unfortunately overshadowed by the severe injury of Team MILRAM rider Marco Velo. The thirtytwo year-old Italian was involved in a huge crash at the finishing-line and broke his clavicle triply.

In the 4th stage, Alessandro Petacchi was the winner of the race: The thirtytwo year old rider secured his fourth victory in a row and once again obtained the yellow jersey. Like in the previous stages the Italian top-sprinter was well supported by his teammates, who worked very hard for him during the whole race over 169,9 kilometres from Rheda-Wiedenbrück to Duderstadt.

In the 5th stage over 171,4 kilometres from Duderstadt to Goettingen Alessandro Petacchi crossed the finishing-line before Danilo Hondo (Lamonta) and the Australian Mathew Hayman from Team Rabobank.
