ZSG Combo Compound
At the base of each knob is a super rebound, proprietary soft compound mixture that was developed from our groundbreaking ZSG technology. The difference between this softer rubber and other companies softer rubber is that even at a low durometer rating of 42-44, it lasts twice as long as the others. We also add a hard shell compound covering over the head of each knob to lock in the softness and control, while enhancing both the longevity and performance of the tire. When combined, the two compounds work in conjunction with each other to provide the optimal knob responsiveness needed to get up, over, around, or down anything with the utmost control and comfort.
ZSG Ultima
ZSG Ultima provides incredible grip in wet or dry road conditions and superior handling performance. ZSG Ultima will wear at least 10% longer without sacrificing any riding performance.
ZSG Dual Compound
Dual is our newest compound. Sticky for the turns and harder in the center. You’ll find it on the tires used in the grand tours, classics and Pro-Tour events. Dual Compound delivers the best of both worlds in tire performance.
ZSG Active Compound
ZSG Active Compound is very sticky and at the same time quite flexible, hence the name. Compared to other ZSG compounds, Active is a softer compound, but still very durable. Extreme and aggressive riding is its forte.
Mile Cruncher Compound
Long wearing compound. More durable than our other compounds yet without the harsh ride of other competitor’s hard compounds, Mile cruncher will roll the miles beneath you as you enjoy the ride.
Dual Compound
Special compound developed for tubulars and pro racers. Dual Compound is similar to ZSG Dual in concept. Harder in the center for wear and efficiency and grippier on the sides. Keeps you upright and fast!
ZSG Natural Compound
The new ZSG Natural formula integrates more natural rubber into the compound. This compound has the same low rolling resistance as the premium compound and it has enhanced wear resistance making it perfect for a long wearing training tire.
Sillica Compound
Adding silica compounds to tire treads vastly improves tire life, increased durability and grip.
Air Flex Lite Butyl Compound
We use this proprietary compound in our butyl tubes to enhance butyl’s natural benefits. The result is a tube that has the best balance of weight to strength while providing an exceptional road feel.
UPGRADE TECH
ASB
When you see the ASB logo, it means that the tire has a proprietary anti-rebound rubber strip that reduces the chance of pinch flats by an average of 40%!
Tourguard
Tourguard is an Aramid fiber belt placed under the tread to improve puncture resistance without increasing tire weight or sacrificing performance.
PR
PR is a puncture resistant belt placed under the tread. It is lightweight and uses a strong fiber composition to achieve its puncture resistance capabilities.
UST Tubeless
The Universal Tubeless System was developed by Mavic. UST allows you to run tubeless tires at a lower pressure for excellent traction and control. Pinch flats are virtually eliminated and ride quality is vastly improved.
PT TECH
PT Shield
The PT Shield fabric layer is over 3 times more puncture resistance for a tire of comparable weight than other currently available casing reinforcement systems. Click on the PT icon on your left for more info.
PT Belted
PT Belt offers the same great puncture protection that PT Shield offers. The difference is that whereas PT Shield is bead to bead protection, PT Belted is placed only under the tread. Offering puncture protection while shaving off grams.
CASING TECH
3D Casing
A super supple proprietary casing. This incredibly strong casing is layered in a 3-Dimensional configuration to provide great road feel while protecting you from objects that may cut your tires. Tough and lightweight compared to other protective casings on the market. Excellent for training or racing.
Kevlar Casing
Kevlar® is woven into the casing fabric every 5 threads. The addition of the extremely robust Kevlar thread reinforces the casing against side wall punctures while keeping the weight down due to the weight advantage of the Kevlar thread.
HyperTex
This is a lighter and stronger casing. The density of the fiber is 1.5 times as much as normal tire casings. Pinch flat protection is 1.6 times improved. Side cut protection is 2.6 times improved. The surface of this casing is very smooth. It helps prevent punctures when the tube rubs against the casing.
CORD TECH
800D Strong Cord
800D polyamide cord is nearly twice as strong as the cord used in conventional tires. It improves rigidity, pinch flat and side cut protection.
400D
400D Cord technology improves side cut resistance of your tire while improving the rigidity during cornering.
AX Casing
Superfine AX Casing is the perfect blend of suppleness and toughness to help ward off cuts and flats.

Multi-Step knob
Panaracer’s exclusive Multi-Step knobs have various heights designed into each knob These stepped knobs help tires to perform in all conditions from hard to soft. Short big knobs are specially designed to provide an excellent ride that also delivers the lightest weight full knobby MTB tires.
3D Knob
3D Knobs are designed to perform multi-directionally and are located on the tire sides. They are positioned in multiple directions to help maintaining traction and durability while riding on the side knobs.

Reflective Tape
Reflective Tape upgrade is a reflective stripe that is applied to the sidewall of the tire to make cyclists more visible from the side while cycling at dusk or night. This upgrade is available on Stradius Sport SR, Crosstown, and Evo series tires.
